Concrete gravel boards are the foundation of a strong, long-lasting fence. They create a protective barrier between your wooden panels and the ground, stopping moisture from creeping in and causing rot. Unlike timber gravel boards, concrete is tough, durable, and built to withstand the elements for decades.
Our gravel boards will slot right into place if you’re using slotted concrete fence posts. And when the time comes to replace your fence panels, you won't need to start from scratch - simply swap out the fence panel and leave the gravel board where it is.

Concrete gravel boards are the go-to choice when you want long-lasting strength. They form a solid base at the bottom of your fence and stop moisture damage by keeping timber panels off the ground. Once they’re in place, they do their job quietly and don’t need much attention - just how it should be.
Wooden gravel boards work well, but concrete is the better option if you want something that lasts even longer and won’t rot. It is tough, weather-resistant, and built to stand the test of time. You won’t need to replace them any time soon.
Different Styles and Sizes
We stock a full range of styles and finishes. Choose from smooth, rock-faced, slatted, brick effect, woven, or dished gravel boards. Each type gives a slightly different look, so you can match it to your panels or posts. Smooth boards provide a clean, modern edge. Rock-faced and brick-effect styles are more decorative, adding texture without taking over. Dished and slatted designs offer something different while still doing the job. All styles are made up to the same high standards.
Most of our concrete gravel boards are available in 6ft lengths with two height options: 6 inch (150mm) and 12 inch (300mm). The most commonly used are 6 inches, but 12 inches can give you extra protection if you need it.
Simple to Fit
These boards slide straight into place if you’re using slotted concrete posts. That makes installation easy and means replacing panels later on is easy. Just lift out the old panel and drop a new one in. There is no need to touch the gravel board.
Our longer concrete boards can be fixed using notches and clamps for feather edge fencing. They’re made to fit perfectly and stay in place securely.
Built for Everyday Use
Concrete gravel boards are heavy-duty and reliable, so professionals and homeowners trust them. Once fitted, they protect your fence and do the hard work of blocking ground moisture, holding back soil, and dealing with general wear and tear.
They’re also handy if installing fencing near flower beds, hedges, or uneven ground where moisture builds up.
