Arris rails are the support beams behind feather-edge fencing. They run horizontally between your posts and give your fence the strength to stay upright, which is useful when the wind picks up. You usually need two or three per section, depending on the height of your fence.
We stock flat-end and mortised arris rails in 2.4m and 3m lengths, pressure treated for long life. Match them with brackets or morticed posts, and you’re good to go.
If you are not sure how many you need, give us a ring. We’ll help you figure it all out.

An arris rail is the part of feather edge fencing that is used at the back. You can get morticed arris rail or flat end arris rail.
If you are install a new fence with morticed fence posts you would purchase the morticed arris rails that would not need any brackets. If the posts are all ready installed you would purchase the flat end arris rails and add brackets to them.
You will need 3 arris rails per fencing bay for from 5ft to 6ft any size under that would be 2 rails per bay.
