- What are feather edge boards?
Feather edge boards are use used to make fence panels and also used to build feather edge fencing bays.
What wood are your feather edge boards?We only use spruce feather edge boards from Ireland. Spruce is the best wood to use as it takes the treatment well and gives a consistent colour.
What size featheredge boards do you have?We stock 3ft featheredge up to 8ft featheredgeHow wide are your feather edge boards?Our feather edge are100mm wide. This is the best size to use as it is less to warping than wider feather edge boards.Do you nail through both featheredge boards ?It is recommend that each featheredge board is fixed once and not through both boards. Some suppliers advise using two nails per board, but this does not allow for shrinkage of the board and can result in splitting.
