How To Install A Fence Post Spike
The benefits of install a fence post spike is that its fast and simple. All you need to do is put the spike in the place you would like it, install the drive in tool and hammer in with a sledge hammer.

The further the spike is into the ground the harder it will be to realign, so check the level more frequently as you go deeper. Once you have hammered in to place all you need to do is install your wood post and tighten the bolts.

What Type of fence spike should I Use
There are 2 types of post spikes, the bolt secure version or the quick install version. With bolt version you will need to install the post and the tighten the bolts on the side, The quick install version the post is just hammered in to a snug fit.
Tips
When using a sledge hammer, if the force being applied is slightly off centre and may cause the post spike to twist slightly as it is driven into the ground. To rectify this turn your spike an eighth turn clockwise if you're right handed (the opposite way if you're left handed) at the start to allow for any twisting.
