- What size fence posts do I need for 5ft fence panels?
This would all depend on what size gravel board you are using. As an example if you was using a 1ft gravel board you would need to use a 8ft fence posts. This would give you the recommended depth of 2ft in the ground
Do I need wood or concrete posts?We would recommend concrete fence posts for fence panels. Wood is also a good option if using uc4 treated posts. This will ensure they will last with ground contact.We only sell uc4 treated posts.
Do you make wide fence panels?Yes! We make the widest fence panels that you can buy. The fence panels range from 7ft to 10ft wide.
Are the fence panels treated?All of our fence panels are fully pressure treated.
Do I need to treat my fence panels?You will not need to treat your fence panels bought from G&G as they are fully pressure treated but if you want to keep them looking fresh we recommend Barrentine Timber Protector to repel water, protect against UV damage and mould. The Barrentine Timber Protector offers good surface protection due to its wax content, but it's really only suitable for use on pre-treated timber.
