Slatted Batten Sizes We Keep in Stock

We keep three main sizes of slatted batten in stock. They all come ready to use, so you can cut them straight to the lengths you need.

4.2m or 4.8m lengths might sound big if you’re used to 6ft panels. In practice, the length works in your favour. You can cut what’s needed, reduce offcuts, and maintain a consistent run. The shorter offcuts you are left with are perfect for corners or other garden projects.

25mm x 50mm Grade 1 | 4.8m (4800mm)

This slatted batten is the chunkiest we stock. Ideal for larger fences or when you prefer a solid finish.

19mm x 38mm Grade 2 | 4.2m (4200mm)

Long enough for most jobs, but easy to cut down. Customers use these for screens, bin stores, or detailing where smaller pieces are needed.

19mm x 38mm | 4.8m (4800mm)

Best for long runs, where fewer joins result in a cleaner look. We have landscapers use these for full boundary projects.

Domestic Gardens

The most common use is boundary fences. Close spacing stops people from looking in, or space them a bit wider and let the wind pass through, which keeps the fence stable.

Small Jobs

Great for bin stores, bike sheds, or hiding air-con units. The fence screens what you don’t want to see but still allows air to move. We’ve supplied plenty for side alleys and garden corners.

Landscaping

Builders and landscapers use them for pergolas, benches, and planters. Using the same slatted batten for structures and fencing ties the whole design together.

You can also collect from our depots, but given their size, you will need a large van, so delivery is usually the best option unless you are a commercial company. Our depots in Kent and South London are open six days a week.
