How To Install A DuraPost

How To Install A DuraPost

Step 1:  Dig a hole 600mm deep at both ends of the desired length of fence and insert a post into each hole. Check that the height of the two posts is consistent by using a string line – Use a measuring tape to check the height will be the same at various points along the line.DuraPost_Step_01 Step 2: Set the two posts in place with Post Mix Concrete whilst checking that they are upright. Be sure to use level to be sure they are straight. Dig a third hole for the next post at an applicable distance – a fence panel’s length from the first hole.

Step 3: Position the lightweight DuraPost gravel board in the channel of the first post at the correct height, and secure it to the back of the post with colour matched screws. The gravel board needs to be set level for Fence panels. Then slide the fence panel in to place.

The only issue was the back ran alongside a footpath, which they felt left them a bit open. To sort it out, they decided to put in a taller fence. Lisa ordered a batch of six foot panels and the fitter came back at the weekend to put them up.

  • When garden decking is first installed, it always looks great. The boards are clean, and it’s something you want to show off to your friends, family (and maybe even your neighbours). The only issue is that, over time and with everyday use, it starts to leave its mark. Furniture gets dragged across it, it has the unpredictable British weather to deal with, and leaves collect in corners. The decking still does its job, but it may not look quite as fresh as it once did.
