G&G Fencing and Landscape Supplies has joined forces with JUST ONE Tree to help in the fight against climate change.

We’re proud to announce that we will be planting one tree for every five ‘The Beast’ fence panels we sell in 2022.

Why planting trees makes a difference

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air. An average tree takes 22kg (48lbs) of carbon dioxide from the environment each year.

However, rapid deforestation means this carbon dioxide stays in our atmosphere, increasing the earth’s temperature and contributing to global warming.

The UK Government has pledged to be ‘net zero’ when it comes to carbon dioxide by 2050. This means we all have a part to play when it comes to lowering our carbon dioxide emissions.

Planting trees helps restore the balance and helps reduce carbon dioxide back to more acceptable levels. Not only this, but reforestation can help species of plants, insects, and animals thrive once more.

The Beast fence panel and sustainability

The Beast fence panel is exclusive to G&G Fencing and Landscape supplies, with each panel manufactured in our workshop in Kent.

We’ve always been dedicated to sustainability. When we first designed The Beast, we thought long and hard about how we could make it as environmentally friendly as possible.

We decided to create The Beast from British spruce, also known as Sitka spruce. Spruce grows incredibly quickly, growing up to one metre a year in good weather conditions. This makes it one of the most sustainable woods you can use.

The Beast fence panel comes in a variety of sizes, meaning you can choose the right fit for your garden and avoid wastage.

As our Beast Fence panel is well-made from the highest-quality materials, it can withstand the harshest weather conditions and will last a long time. Other lower-quality fence panels will need to be dug up and replaced, meaning they are not only more expensive in the long-term, but less sustainable too.

Although The Beast is as sustainable as can be, we wanted to do more. This is why we have partnered up with JUST ONE Tree.
